Whether you’re a total beginner or a walker looking to strengthen your outdoor knowledge, this supportive day at Cascade Kauri builds your confidence from the ground up. From 9:00am to 3:00pm, you’ll master essential trip planning, efficient packing, and safe movement across uneven terrain, including the effective use of walking poles. We keep the schedule flexible, taking breaks as needed, while focusing on practical track time, basic navigation, and the principles of Leave No Trace. By the end of the session, you’ll feel capable of making informed "go/no-go" decisions and have a clear plan for your future bush adventures.
